Todd-Wadena has actively pursued ways to be a leader and catalyst for growth in central Minnesota.

Revolving Loan Fund
In 1995, Todd-Wadena was awarded a $400,000 RUS grant to fund two economic development projects in the area and to establish a revolving loan fund as the initial loans were repaid. In 2008, the cooperative received $300,000 through a similar grant to lend to the City of Browerville for an infrastructure improvement project. As these loans are paid to Todd-Wadena, they are available for future economic development projects in the area.

To be considered for a low-interest economic development loan from the revolving loan fund, projects should create or retain jobs (with the exception of infrastructure improvement projects) and have have prior local or regional development agency participation. Members interested in loans of $10,000 or less may apply for an Improve-It loan, described under Financial Services.

Industrial Park
Todd-Wadena's Touchstone Energy Industrial Park comprises 12.8 acres of property located about two miles east of Wadena on Highway 10. The park has been commercially zoned and has three-phase power installed. Todd-Wadena is anxious to accommodate new businesses to the Touchstone Energy Park. Interested parties may contact the Todd-Wadena office at 800-321-8932.
